Scottish firm 7N Architects has submitted a masterplan for a new 87ha education campus for Inverness for outline permission
The campus, which will provide 175,000sq m of academic, research, residential and business space, will house Inverness College, the Scottish Agriculture College and the University of the Highlands and Islands and will also allow the existing Centre for Health Science to expand.
7N, established in January by former members of Make’s defunct Scottish office, inherited the project from the larger firm, and is working with landscape architect Lisa Mackenzie on the project.
The plan includes a 9,000sq m hub building and a shared “gathering space”.
